Egon Schiele | Influence
thirtytwo
I hit the National Museum while in HS for a class project. Attend a show, absorb, report, present. I happen to catch the Egon Schiele show. It changed my life as an artist (at the time, now I’m simply a design whore at best). Who is Egon Schiele? Most know of Klimt (that “kiss” poster in your dorm room fool); Egon and he were buds. Did a lot of collaboration work, etc. He is amazing. Raw, provocative, controversial; energy in graphite. Images that resonate torture (in the spiritual sense, not the literal) and passion. I was hooked.
As I gazed in amazement at what I viewing my sketch book opened (on it’s own). My pencil came from someplace, and I let loose. When I looked down this is what was there.
