Live Picture | Special Effects

May 5th, 1996 by thirtytwo

For those out there that work in PhotoShop, have you ever had experience with Live Picture? It was pushed on to us while I was at RIT. A graphics application designed to work with large files size in real time, you had a filter set that looked more realistic then PS offered. Cumbersome, pain in the neck, and who wants to work with a 500MB file size anyway? As I understand it, it has gone the way of the dodo.

As a final project I used this image from my Special Effects class of a .22 firing into a yellow pepper. With the use of Live Picture, I mimicked the pepper “de-flatting.”
